Discover & Experience Oudesluis

Oudesluis is a rural village located at the channel Grote Sloot. Oudesluis was located on the mud flat outskirts of the former Zuiderzee before the embankment of the Anna Paulowna polder in 1845. Oudesluis used to be a landing place for East Indian Company ships who went to sea via the Marsdiep. The village also was a home base to the fishing fleet. The sluice in the village can still be visited.

There are three mills dating from 1764, 1848 and 1896.

Staying overnight is possible in holiday cottages and small campsites.
